Abstract

The dissertation is dedicated to the generalization and systematization of theoretical foundations for the transformation of the global financial architecture and the development of scientific-practical recommendations for the directions of transformation within the formation of a new comprehensive scientific concept for the creation of crisis-resistant financial systems.
In Chapter 1, «Theoretical Foundations of the Transformation of the Global Financial Architecture», further development of the conceptual-categorical apparatus is presented. The systematization of approaches to defining the global financial architecture is carried out, highlighting interpretations from international organizations, foreign and domestic scholars who define financial architecture as a set of institutions, a system of financial regulators, and a matrix of the global financial system. Based on the systematization of approaches, a functional influence characteristic is proposed, highlighting components such as the banking sector, stock market, budgetary, currency market, and monetary-credit system. The author provides an original definition of the concept of the global financial architecture based on the conducted research.
In Chapter 2, «Analytical Foundation for the Transformation of the Global Financial Architecture», the author has enhanced the analytical toolkit of the research. An expanded structure of the contemporary global financial architecture has been formulated, and its current trends and state have been identified. It is argued that the incompleteness of the reforms conducted by major institutions in the global financial architecture after the 2007-2009 crisis and unforeseen future development trends have led to the emergence of new risks. It is elucidated that the recent development of the Financial Architecture (SFA) has been significantly influenced by the global economic crisis that began in 2020 due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, impacting markets for commodities such as oil, energy resources, agricultural products, etc. An analysis of the overall economic slowdown resulting from the highest inflation in the last decade, against the backdrop of heightened economic and geopolitical uncertainty and disruptions in energy and commodity markets caused by Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, has been conducted. It is noted that the contemporary development of the financial sector is characterized by the increasing digitization of financial services and the integration of technologies into the operational processes of financial intermediaries.
In Chapter 3, «Transformation of the Financial Architecture of Countries in the Context of Global Changes», the author proposes to assess the level of development of financial architecture through the lens of financial compliance tools. The necessary institutional prerequisite for implementation is the study and implementation of international experience and best practices of economically developed countries.
