Recycling in the Process of Transforming Industry towards a “Green” Value Chain Model

The dissertation is devoted to the development of theoretical and methodological foundations for the study of the process of industrial transformation to the model of a «green» value chain, as well as the development of scientific and practical recommendations for the effective implementation of recycling technologies in the industrial sector of the Ukrainian economy.
The first section of the work «Theoretical and methodological foundations for the study of the processes of industrial transformation to the model of a “green” value chain» summarizes approaches to the study of the nature of the concept of «green economy» in the context of the implementation of the principles of sustainable development; systematizes the theoretical and methodological foundations for the study of the concept of green value chain management in modern economic theory; determines the determinants of the study of the recycling process as a component of the formation of green value chains.
The second section of the work «Analysis of recycling development trends in the process of transforming industry into a “green” value chain model» analyzes the current dynamics and trends in recycling development in industrial production in countries around the world; summarizes the dynamics of the formation of a waste management model in Ukraine; develops scientific and methodological approaches to assessing the effectiveness of implementing recycling technologies for enterprises.
In the third section of the work «Mechanisms for implementing recycling in the processes of industrial transformation to a “green” value chain model», the circular sustainability of the enterprise is defined as an indicator for assessing the effectiveness of recycling technologies; a model for implementing a green value chain as an element of the circular economy is developed; approaches to forming a mechanism for stimulating effective waste management are proposed.
